INTRODUCTION

With over 43 years of physical presence and 8 years online, Moutakis has established itself as a trusted name in the clothing industry. Offering more than 2,500 products from 70+ companies, it covers every need for everyday clothing, from underwear and tops to pants and children’s items.

The challenge

Moutakis.gr aimed to transition from the physical to the digital world, establishing itself not only in the local market of Serres but throughout Greece. Despite having traffic, their existing setup wasn’t converting well. They chose GIM with the primary objective of increasing the conversion rate and overall turnover.

THE SOLUTION

The method

The brand had previously used Google Ads exclusively, which wasn’t delivering the required turnover or ROAS despite significant traffic. GIM was trusted to turn this around. After analyzing the data, we implemented a strategic restructuring:

  • Performance Max (PMax) Campaign: Created with assets and variations based on product seasonality.
  • Search Campaigns: Retained only high-ROAS campaigns after rigorous testing.
  • Display Remarketing.
  • Facebook Ads: Launched Dynamic Catalogs, Static Banners, and Video ads to capitalize on order flow.
  • Remarketing Funnels: Created specific funnels to capture lost leads.

 

Following the success of the PPC strategy, the team implemented a targeted SEO strategy to improve organic presence and long-term viability. Designed to function synergistically with paid campaigns, it focused on on-page, content, and off-page optimizations to drive continuous organic growth.

1. On-Page Optimization

 

  • Metadata: Optimized titles and meta descriptions focusing on keyword intent and CTR improvement.
  • Heading Structure: Restructured (H1–H3) for clear thematic hierarchy and better indexing.
  • Addition of Q&A sections to key sales pages, enhancing:
    • coverage of People Also Ask type searches,
    • user engagement,
    • and the thematic completeness of the pages.

2. Internal Linking Strategy

 

  • A strategic internal linking strategy was created with keyword-rich anchor texts, enhancing:
    • navigation and relevance between pages,
    • the transfer of authority from high-value pages to new or supporting pages,
    • and the smooth guidance of the user within the site.

3. Content Strategy

 

  • Blog Calendar: Designed to target long-tail queries and high-purchase-intent topics.
  • Blog Audit: Optimized older content to enhance E-E-A-T, internal linking, and semantic relevance.
  • New Content: Created guides, Q&As, and comparison articles to boost topical authority and organic traffic.

4. Off-Page & Link Building

 

  • Implemented a backlink strategy through collaborations with relevant niche and news sites.
  • Utilized keyword-focused anchor texts on key landing pages to combine SEO value with brand consistency.

After implementing these actions, we achieved:
