EchoDeco chose GIM Agency’s experts to optimize the site and increase organic traffic alongside traffic from Google Ads.

In the highly competitive home decor sector, where every keyword generates massive monthly search volumes, Echo Deco was languishing on Google’s 3rd, 4th, or even 6th and 7th pages when we took over. Consequently, organic traffic was very low. The challenge was compounded by the need to surpass numerous major competitors to reach the coveted first page.

Our goal was to bring Echo Deco to the first page and boost visitor volume via Google Ads. Given the e-shop’s vast variety and unique, stylish products, increasing traffic was directly linked to business profitability.

We knew Echo Deco had great potential and that our effective strategy could help significantly. However, even we could not have predicted the magnitude of the impressive results that followed.

THE SOLUTION

The method

The approach taken by GIM’s SEO Experts was based on two pillars.

First, we focused on the site itself, implementing all necessary optimizations to attract user interest and offer a pleasant browsing experience in line with Google’s guidelines (on-page optimization). On-page SEO actions included updating metadata to increase the Click-Through-Rate (CTR) of critical pages, auditing all technical issues defining site performance (technical SEO audit), and executing all steps to ensure optimal user experience on a site with so many categories and subcategories.

In conjunction with these actions, we implemented off-page optimization to strengthen the brand and site authority. To create a clean and effective link profile, we removed backlinks that harmed the website’s reputation. Additionally, we followed a smart content marketing methodology highlighting Echo Deco’s unique home decor proposals to distinguish it from the competition. Simultaneously, the link-building strategy was supplemented by other actions to acquire reliable backlinks, such as listings in high-authority relevant directories, social bookmarks, comments, and public publishing sites.

The Google Ads strategy aimed to identify the most efficient keywords offering the best balance between search volume, cost, and competition. Through in-depth analysis and target group research, we created ads specifically designed to increase both traffic and e-shop transactions. Based on our analysis, we designed an extensive account segmentation strategy. By optimizing it, we achieved an impression share superior to competitors by over 80%.

THE RESULTS

The result

Continuous research and evaluation of our actions brought spectacular results in both traffic and revenue for Echo Deco. Specifically, total traffic increased by 233% in 2020 compared to 2017, leading to a 255% increase in transactions and a 270% increase in revenue. Simply put, Echo Deco’s revenue almost tripled!

The success of our SEO actions was reflected in a massive 401% increase in organic traffic and a 275% increase in revenue. Furthermore, Echo Deco now appears in the top 4 positions on Google’s first page for high-volume keywords like “home decor,” “wall decor,” and “Christmas items.”

The results from our Google Ads strategy were even more impressive. Traffic from Google Ads increased by 222% in 2020, but targeting a well-researched audience resulted in a massive increase in transactions (1,321%) and revenue (1,506%). In other words, while the traffic increase was consistent with the site’s overall growth, revenue grew 15-fold because we targeted the right buying audience.
