INTRODUCTION

THE CHALLENGE
The challenge
We took over the management of the Google Ads account in June 2014, setting the following goals:
1. Increase online sales
2. Achieve a high conversion rate, comparable to the average conversion rate
3. Increase the recognition of the Pet4u.gr brand
We designed the strategy we would follow by analyzing the competition and statistics from the previous year using Google Analytics.
In implementing the strategy, we utilized new techniques and methods from the Google Ads Platform, with a specific focus on different customer segments and different advertising messages.

THE SOLUTION
The method
By utilizing GIM’s SEO methodology within a short period of time, starting in February 2014, we achieved the top ranking on Google.gr for the most basic keyword “pet shop” and, at the same time, improved organic traffic for many other keywords. This effort continued over the following years, resulting in top rankings for dozens of keywords.
Equally impressive were the results from the continuous optimization of Google ads.
THE RESULTS
The result
After continuous optimization and in collaboration with the Marketing department, we achieved the following:
1. A 30% reduction in cost per click (CPC), while maintaining the same high ad position in the search network
2. The overall Quality Score of the account rose to 9/10 and 10/10
3. The sales rate through AdWords campaigns is 25% above the average of all other traffic sources
4. The average cost per sale has been reduced by 50% from the initial target set
We also achieved:
A 30% reduction in cost per click (CPC), while maintaining the same high ad position in the search network
A 25% increase in sales through Google Ads campaigns (above the average of all other traffic sources)
A 50% reduction in the average cost per sale
